And that is why we continue to lobby!!!!.
We encourage to find opportunities during this month to show that you, not only, care, but that you are prepared to DO something about it.
The workshop was made possible through the financial and human resource input from 4 partners who are collaborating in this project. The cost of the venue and catering as well as the cost of the tech assistant was generously borne by the Learning Academy Worldwide. The cost of the micro SD cards for 12 phones for the teachers was covered by DeafSA KZN. KwaVulindlebe School covered the cost of transport used by the teachers to get to and from the venue in Westville and the preparation and facilitation of the workshop was done by the DeafSA Director: Deaf Education. Such combined effort is truly appreciated.
The young Louise Österberg from Sweden just returned home after giving her time to others who need it most in South Africa .
Following into the footsteps of her older sister who also served wih Learning Academy Worldwide, Louise gave to children and young people care, attention, patience and a willingness to help wherever it was needed.
